Wellen Park High School represents one of the largest and most comprehensive projects undertaken by Cougar Companies. This 180,000-square-foot educational facility required extensive coordination, manpower, and expertise across multiple construction disciplines to successfully deliver a project of this magnitude. Our team completed every major structural component of the project, from foundations and concrete slabs to structural masonry and tilt-wall construction. The project incorporated more than 22,000 cubic yards of concrete and approximately 125,000 CMU block, making it one of the most significant educational projects in our portfolio. The campus features three-story tilt-wall classroom buildings with elevated concrete slab pours, three elevator shafts, and multiple stairwells, all requiring precise planning and execution. Beyond the classroom facilities, Cougar Companies constructed the baseball and softball dugouts, the reinforced concrete columns supporting the football stadium bleachers, and the auditorium's cast-in-place concrete theater seating structure. Venice Fire Station #2

The Venice Fire Station project presented a unique set of structural and architectural challenges that required precision, craftsmanship, and careful coordination from start to finish. The project included the construction of complex cast-in-place concrete arches that serve as a defining architectural feature of the station. Wellen Park Buildings 6 & 7 required a high level of coordination and craftsmanship to deliver two structurally complex buildings featuring both architectural concrete and masonry elements. Cougar Companies completed the project from the foundations through the structural shell, performing all major concrete and masonry components. The Captiva Island Inn project consisted of two separate elevated buildings designed to meet the demanding environmental conditions and stringent hurricane requirements of Florida's Gulf Coast. Constructed in a coastal setting with sandy soil conditions, the project required specialized foundation systems and structural solutions to ensure long-term stability and resilience. To create a secure foundation, deep pilings were driven into the sand to support the structures and transfer loads to more stable bearing materials below.
