Wellen Park Buildings 6 & 7 required a high level of coordination and craftsmanship to deliver two structurally complex buildings featuring both architectural concrete and masonry elements. Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre & Education Center Naples, Florida The Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre & Education Center is a premier performing arts destination in Southwest Florida, encompassing more than 40,000 square feet of performance, educational, and community space. Cougar Companies was proud to play a significant role in the construction of this landmark project, delivering the structural concrete work from the ground up. The project began with the construction of the foundations, which required extensive dewatering operations to safely excavate and build below grade due to challenging groundwater conditions. Careful planning and coordination were essential to maintain productivity and ensure the integrity of the foundation systems. Throughout the project, Cougar Companies completed numerous cast-in-place concrete elements, elevated concrete pours, and a series of intricately constructed concrete ramps designed to provide access between the facility's multiple levels. The Captiva Island Inn project consisted of two separate elevated buildings designed to meet the demanding environmental conditions and stringent hurricane requirements of Florida's Gulf Coast. Constructed in a coastal setting with sandy soil conditions, the project required specialized foundation systems and structural solutions to ensure long-term stability and resilience. To create a secure foundation, deep pilings were driven into the sand to support the structures and transfer loads to more stable bearing materials below. The buildings were then constructed on elevated concrete columns to satisfy FEMA flood elevation requirements and local building codes, providing protection from storm surge and coastal flooding. A significant component of the project involved the construction of an extensive reinforced concrete tie beam system, designed to interconnect the structural elements and provide the strength and rigidity necessary to withstand high wind loads associated with hurricanes. Entrada Apartments

The Entrada Apartments project is a prime example of Cougar Companies' full-service capabilities, with every division working together to successfully deliver a large-scale multifamily development from the ground up. Our Civil Division completed the entire site infrastructure, including earthwork, underground utility installation, storm drainage, water and sewer systems, roadway construction, curb and gutter, and the finished asphalt paving. Through coordinated planning and execution, the site was transformed from raw land into a fully developed, construction-ready community. Following site development, our Vertical Division constructed six four-story apartment buildings and a central clubhouse, beginning with the foundations and continuing through the structural concrete and masonry phases. Our scope included reinforced concrete foundations, structural CMU, cast-in-place architectural archways, elevated concrete floor slabs on every level, and all associated structural concrete work required to complete the building shells. By combining the expertise of every Cougar Companies division under one team, the Entrada Apartments project was completed with seamless coordination, consistent quality, and efficient project execution.
