Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre & Education Center Naples, Florida The Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre & Education Center is a premier performing arts destination in Southwest Florida, encompassing more than 40,000 square feet of performance, educational, and community space. Cougar Companies was proud to play a significant role in the construction of this landmark project, delivering the structural concrete work from the ground up. The project began with the construction of the foundations, which required extensive dewatering operations to safely excavate and build below grade due to challenging groundwater conditions. Careful planning and coordination were essential to maintain productivity and ensure the integrity of the foundation systems. Throughout the project, Cougar Companies completed numerous cast-in-place concrete elements, elevated concrete pours, and a series of intricately constructed concrete ramps designed to provide access between the facility's multiple levels. Our scope also included the construction of cast-in-place stair systems, exterior sidewalks, and the CMU (concrete masonry unit) work for the building, further contributing to the structural and architectural framework of the facility. The combination of structural complexity, architectural detailing, and challenging site conditions required precision and craftsmanship at every stage of construction.
